Kaméi - A storyteller’s journey across Asia.
Kaméi - New Delhi
Nestled in the heart of Delhi, Kamei is a stunning collision of Japanese minimalism and warm, earthy textures, imagined by architect Vritima Wadhwa of Project810. The moment you step in, you’re greeted by a beautifully balanced space—textured concrete walls, rattan details, and deep terracotta hues set the tone, while metal lattice screens and soft drapes carve out intimate dining corners.
One of the standout features? A breathtaking origami-inspired light installation by Ankon Mitra, made from ombre-dyed silk that flows across the ceiling like a moving sculpture. Every element here is intentional—the river-washed granite flooring, the brushed brass accents, the layered lighting—all designed to create an atmosphere that feels both immersive and effortlessly elegant.
And then, of course, there’s the food. Kaméi’s menu brings together flavors from across Asia, paired with a stellar cocktail menu that makes the whole experience even better. It’s not just a restaurant; it’s a space that sparks curiosity, conversation, and a deep appreciation for the art of dining.
And because sound is just as much a part of the experience as everything else, the indoor space is powered by an impeccable setup—2 x SM80M and 1 x SH110 from Danley Sound Labs for pristine clarity, with a Stasys 218 subwoofer from Void Acoustics handling the low-end. Everything runs cool on Powersoft amplification, ensuring that the audio is as refined and immersive as the space itself.
